Activities and things to do in Sorrento
There is always plenty to do here down on the Mornington Peninsula! Go for a game of golf, check out the local beaches and wineries, swim, snorkel or dive with the dolphins and seals. - Gunnamatta Trail Rides – Situated nearby in Rye. The adventures include horse-riding on the beach or along tracks through the bush. Rides range from 1 hour to a full day.
- Sorrento Sailing Escape – Departing from Blairgowrie, tours operate 7 days a week between the months of November and May. Tours range from 3 hours to all day or even a pre-dinner cruise.
- Dromana Drive-In - Situated approximately 25 minutes drive from Sorrento Beach Motel, Dromana Drive In provides an excellent form of entertainment for the whole family. Click on the link to find out sessions and times.
- Andy's Harley Rides – Rides and tours range from 1 hour to a half day to a full day. Scenic tours, group rides and sidecars are available.
- Peninsula Hot Springs – Natural hot mineral springs open 7 days a week.
- Point Nepean National Park, Walk it…. Bike it….. Ride it! – Visit the Mornington Peninsula National Park and its many nature trails. Highlights include native flora and fauna, historic military fortifications, spectacular views and more.
- Mornington Peninsula Wineries (winter wine festival held on the long weekend in June).
- Sorrento to Queenscliff Car & Passenger Ferry – Departs hourly all year round.
- Nearby local golf courses.
- Short walk to main street of Sorrento where you will find restaurants, cafes, shops and galleries
- The Baths Sorrento fully licensed restaurant on the beach. Take away available. Open 7 days. Cater for weddings.
- Three Palms Café and Bar – international cuisine.
- Portsea Art Gallery open 7 days Australian cotemporary artists.
- Close to ocean and bay beaches as well as the Sorrento back beach.
